The Electronics Payment Association or NACHA, has released a warning about fraudulent emails appearing to come from them. The subject line reads "Rejected ACH Transaction” and the email tells you there is a problem with an ACH transaction you have originated. A link embedded in the email redirects you to a fake web page that looks like the NACHA website and contains a link which in turn contains an executable virus with malware.
If you receive one of these emails, DO NOT access the web site or click on any links. If there were actually a problem with an ACH transaction, Eastern Michigan Bank would contact you directly. |
 |
Eastern Michigan Bank will never contact you by phone, e-mail or other electronic means, and ask for your social security number or account number . So don't get caught by "phishing" scams requesting verification of your personal information. Click here for more info on Identity Theft.

As of May 20, 2009, the temporary coverage date on the FDIC Deposit Insurance increase from $100,000 to $250,000 per depositor has been extended through December 31, 2013.
YOU SHOULD ALSO KNOW THAT:
Our institution has elected to participate in the FDIC’s Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through June 30, 2010, all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules. |
