Eastern Michigan Bank | September 6, 2008
Timothy Ward, President/CEO of Eastern Michigan Bank, is pleased to announce that Jay Wofford has joined our staff as a Vice President/Commercial Lender.
“We consider Jay’s experience and knowledge a terrific new asset to Eastern Michigan Bank,” said Ward.
Jay comes to Eastern with more than ten years of commercial lending experience, primarily in the St. Clair County market. He will be working out of our loan center in Croswell and our downtown Port Huron office. Jay is also the current president of the Port Huron Noon Optimists Club.
Jay is a native of Yale and currently resides in Richmond with his wife and children.
For the second quarter of 2008, our employees chose Mid City Nutrition in Port Huron as the recipient of the funds raised on our Casual Because We Care Friday. In total, we donated $517.50 to the Mid City program, which operates a soup kitchen in the downtown Port Huron area, as well as a mobile food pantry. This year alone, Mid-City will serve more than 52,000 meals to more than 1,300 individuals, and distribute more than 511,000 pounds of food to families in need.

Please join us in congratulating Cathy Fitz, our Marysville branch manager, on her installment as treasurer of the Marysville Rotary Club for the 2008 - 2009 year. The Marysville Rotary Club is a part of Rotary International, an organization of business and professional leaders united worldwide, who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.
