American Cancer Society Recognizes Eastern

Eastern Michigan Bank received the prestigious Five Star Investor Award, given by the American Cancer Society to work sites that are active in fighting cancer on multiple fronts. Among other points, Eastern was recognized for providing ACS information on prevention and early detection of cancer to its employees, having smoke free worksites, and participating in the ACS’s annual Relay for Life.

Eastern Donates to Shrine Hospitals

Eastern Michigan Bank Commercial Lender, Don Wixson, presents a check for $400 on behalf of the bank to Kelly Gray, President of the Sanilac Shrine Club, as a donation to the club’s annual paper sale. The paper sale is part of a nationwide fundraiser for the Shrine Hospitals put on by local Shrine clubs.

Eastern Employees Support Hospice Services

President/CEO, Tim Ward, presents a check for $500 to Marlette Hospital’s Foundation and Marketing Manager, Janet O’Connor, on behalf of the staff of Eastern Michigan Bank. The money was raised through Eastern’s Casual Because We Care program, a charitable giving campaign sponsored by the bank which provides employees the opportunity to “dress down” in exchange for a donation to a local charity.
