Eastern Michigan Bank is proud to support the Back to School projects in both St. Clair and Sanilac Counties. That’s why, throughout the month of July, we will be collecting the following school supplies at each of our branch locations:
For St. Clair County students:
- Crayons, packs of 24
- Colored Pencils, packs of 12
- Washable Markers, packs of 8
- #2 Black Pencils, packs of 12
- Blue or Black Ink Pens, packs of 12
- Lined paper – Wide ruled or College ruled
- Boxes of tissue
For Sanilac County students:
- Binders, 3-ring
- Colored pencils, set of 12
- Combs
- Crayons, 16 to 24 count
- Dividers for 3-ring binder, 8 tabs
- Erasers, any kind, including pencil toppers
- Facial tissue, family size or pocket packs
- Filler paper (notebook with 3 holes), college ruled
- Folders with pockets and fasteners
- Glue sticks and small bottles of white school glue
- Hand sanitizer
- Highlighters, yellow, wide or fine
- Index cards
- Markers, washable, thick barrel and fine line
- Spiral notebooks, wide or college-ruled
- Locker organizers
- Pencil boxes, 5” x 9” or smaller
- Pencil cases, zippered, with three holes to put in a binder
- Pencil grips
- Pencil sharpeners, small with canister to catch shavings
- Pencils, No. 2 or mechanical pencils
- Pens, blue or black ink
- Protractors
- Punches for a 3-hole binder
- Rulers, 12” with inch and metric rulings
- Scissors, blunt tip or pointed
- Simple calculators
- Small dictionary
- Transparent tape
- White-out
Both projects benefit elementary and high school aged children from economically disadvantaged families in their respective counties. St. Clair County’s program is operated by the Women’s Initiative of the St. Clair County Community Foundation. Sanilac County’s program is run by the Volunteer Services division of the Department of Human Services. If you would like to make a cash donation to either program, you may do so by dropping off a check to any of our branches prior to July 31st. For Sanilac County, checks should be made payable to DHS Volunteer Services. For St. Clair County, make your check payable to Community Foundation of St. Clair County. Please put Back to School in your memo line.
